I can’t tell you how many clients I have that initially come to me and tell me how they DREAD going to work on Monday mornings. They literally let out that “ARGH” sound when they wake up to their alarm. If you are like most, you don’t look forward to the end of the weekend. It means you have to go back to work on those dreaded Mondays! You have what I call that “Monday Morning FUNK”.
I even see some of my Facebook friends posting the following on a Sunday:
“Argh … I have to go to work tomorrow. When can I retire?” And these are friends that are only in their 40’s! Oh MY!
But it doesn’t have to be that way. First of all, did you know that your expectation of a crappy work week actually impacts how the week unfolds for you?
Yes, that’s what the Law of Attraction is all about. What you think and feel creates your reality. So why not wake up EVERY morning (yes, and that includes Mondays) as if SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN! What you expect, you pave the way for. So, wouldn’t you prefer to expect something wonderful to happen instead of dread the day before it even starts?
Instead of embracing that “dreaded monday morning” attitude, I encourage my clients to embrace a “Motivational Monday” energy which is all about starting your week with the right mindset. It’s about teaching you how to deliberate create your life experiences, instead of creating by default. Being happy is a choice. And so is being miserable. I don’t know about you but I would rather choose to be happy, despite life’s bumps in the road vs. being frustrated, stressed out and miserable while those “bumps” are happening. I choose to leverage the Law of Attraction in my favor. Are you ready to do that?
You can pivot your feeling to a better place at any given moment. Let’s do that right now. Think of something that makes you smile. No really, play with me here … think of at least one thing that puts a smile on your face. Ok, great! Now, I want you to close your eyes and really feel how that thing or person makes you feel. FEEL IT right down to the core of your being. You can use your imagination to conjure up the most yummy feelings in any given moment. That’s all you have to do is turn your focus to something that makes you feel good. Yes, that’s it. If you start doing this on a regular basis every time you are feeling “off” and it becomes your natural way of taking care of your happiness level, you will soon find that every area of your life will improve.
Being happy attracts more of what you want into your life. Being stressed, depressed, frustrated or irritated, will only bring more things into your life that will make you feel that exact same way … yes, I’ll say it .. like CRAP! So, isn’t it time to change your feelings about Mondays?
Now, if the issue is that you don’t like your job at all or what you are doing for a career is not in alignment with your true passion, then isn’t it time to change that? What are you waiting for? Life is short in the scheme of things. Take your first step NOW. Be grateful for what you do have. Live in the question instead of determining ahead of time that there is no answer or solution to your “dilemma”. You are always at choice to change your current life situation. And that starts with embracing a different mindset about your life and your future.
Expect to be pleasantly surprised today.
Be grateful for what you DO have.
Believe in the positive outcome.
Know that your belief is the catalyst to making your dreams come true.
Most of all, decide right now that Monday is like any other day of the week and that you are the one that chooses how you feel on any given day.
You are in control of your emotions. Outside circumstances do not have to dictate how you feel. You dictate how you feel.
Nothing else does. No one else does.
Wake up every morning as if something wonderful is going to happen and REALLY feel that and guess what … it will!
